The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.” He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned. Mark 5-12-13
Why did Jesus allow the demons to enter the herd of pigs? What can we learn from this story?
We need to remember Pigs were considered unclean animals. (Deuteronomy 14:8) therefore demons being allowed to enter into the pigs are symbolic of anyone who is spiritually unclean. If we live by the Spirit we should walk by the Spirit (Galatians 5:25) we will be known by the fruit we bear When you allow yourself to follow the ways of Satan, and fall into his traps of sin, you become spiritually unclean and allow yourself to be taken under his control…
