Purple Crying

Chai & Biscuits

Sometimes it echoed light

That painful cry

From the labor room

Sometimes it echoed heavy

That marching of coffins

To the graveyards

When she bled for the first time

They said, it was security

Of their children

What about her safe haven

Whose fate was pledged

To an affluent man, to tie knot

To untie the knots of debts

From her family!
