Mustard Seed.

Doubt. We all experience doubt. Doubt if we are well prepared, doubt that someone will be there for us and worse still doubt God. If you have faith in an aeroplane, whose pilot you do not know and will probably not see, and in a ship, whose captain you know not and won’t see? Why is is hard to trust and have faith that God will come through?

Zechariah doubted that he could have  a son, thus God made him dumb until his son was born (Luke 1:20). The King’s minister in 2Kings7 doubted Elisha’s message from the Lord that,”Tomorrow about this time a seah of flour shall be sold for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria.”

The minister answered Elisha that even if the Lord could make windows in heaven, that could not be, and thus Elisha told him that indeed it shall happen, but he will not see it.

Now when the Israelites went out and plundered the tents of the syrians, as there was great famine in the land; and the Lord had caused the Syrian army  to hear the noise of chariots and horses and a great army and flee , they trampled the officer at the gate and he died.

Doubt not, not because God is standing with a whip and waiting for you to doubt or sin so He can whip you, but because our blessings are more when we trust and surrender all. Yes the unbelievers are also blessed having no faith in God, because He loves them and we are all under Grace. But how much more you His child? For we are heirs to His Kingdom. Abraham was mightly blessed due to his faith and trust in God. He followed a God he did not know to a foreign land. Have faith, faith was what made Peter walk on the water, it can move mountains. Faith, Like a mustard seed and nurture it by the Word.
